Let’s get you from ‘English, please’ to ‘Ik wil Nederlands spreken!’

I get it, learning Dutch can be overwhelming. You might not know where to start, where to find the right materials to work with, or you simply cannot find a teacher that you connect with.

Maybe you have been learning Dutch in the past already or are you studying Dutch at this moment, but are you feeling totally lost. I know. Dutch might not be the easiest language to learn, but it’s also not that hard as many make you believe. You just need to make sure you find a way of learning that actually works for you, and someone who can guide you along the way.

At the ‘Your Dutch Friend online language school’ we believe that there comes a lot more with learning Dutch, than just memorizing words and grammar rules.

It’s also about starting a new life as an expat, exchange student, refugee or partner of a Dutch person in The Netherlands. That means discovering a new culture, building up an entire new life with new friends, a new job, different traditions aaaaand a new language.

Besides being your Dutch teacher that will guide you through all the aspects of the Dutch language, we also want to be Your Dutch Friend. A friend that can explain you a bit more about our culture, life in the Netherlands, habits and traditions. We don’t want you to just listen to the conversation of your Dutch family-in-law or colleagues, we want you to participate in it! We don’t want you to ‘just speak a bit of Dutch’, we want you to master Dutch. You see? We are here to take you to next level Dutch.

Hey Charlotte! I really find this course super flexible and good for me! I followed your videos on Instagram and then I decided to start the course because I saw that your approach was different... Is helping me so much! I work in the Netherlands at the moment and I speak English during my consults (I'm a vet in Breda!) but many times I have clients that just speaks Dutch and I try my best to understand them and most of the time I can.. But you know I need a structure to finally speak it! The say I studied earlier by myself with a grammar is deff not the best approach.. Is too boring and I lost motivation... So yes. I really love this course and I'm super excited to keep doing it and make progress!

I LOVE THIS COURSE! It keeps me accountable yet it gives me flexibility. I particularly love the written assignments where Charlotte herself gives you feedback on your mistakes. There are LOTS of practicing exercises which you can take over and over for extra practice. Will for sure be purchasing the next level once I am done with this course. HIGHLY recommend if you want to learn Dutch but have schedule conflict with meeting times
